All I remember from this day was going out for lunch with my grandpa and parents, so I'll toss in a picture of Taiwan's version of a pizza delivery car.
Other than that, I finally have a friend here. Previously I had seen a sign saying la mian, or hand-pulled noodles, signaling a restaurant so we decided to give it a shot. Upon looking at the menu we saw neither beef or noodle. Appalled, I wanted to leave but it was already too late as a girl, who really looked like she should've been at school at that time, had already brought us tea. So, we stayed. It turned out we ate Japanese ramen...fun. After that we went to Shi Da Night Market during the day so half the stores were closed, walked around aimlessly (someone actually asked us for directions...we both thought that was pretty funny) and ended up having a beer at my grandpa
Today my dad asked if I wanted to go out for lunch. However this turned out to be quite the outing as my dad ended up taking my mom and I to two tourist attractions after. First we went to Sanxia, an old neighbourhood famous for an even older Buddhist temple. After walking around and talking pictures (of course) my dad tricked us and said we were going home, actually taking us to an area called Yingge, also another old neighbourhood but this time famous for its clay pottery (enthralling). Finally, we actually started to go home via a long train ride...pskye! Poppa decided to take us to some night market who's name I don't even remember, and then a restaurant for dinner...then home...crafty old man.
