Bzzr!

So on the drive home I decided I'd start buying random single beers at the liquor store and write reviews about them. Credit goes to Ryan F. for the idea.

Beer: Grolsch Premium Lager
Country: The Netherlands
ABV: 5%
Price: $2.08 / 500 mL

It poured pretty clear and with very little unforced head (teehee). This pale lager's colour is much like your Molsons and Kokanees. The first sip is quite refreshing (what cold beer isn't?) and has an immediate dry aftertaste. There isn't much noticeable hop flavour, unfortunately. This is definitely not a beer for beginners as the dry flavour is exactly what most non-beer drinkers despise. Other than the initial taste on your tongue, there really isn't much else to this beer. I wouldn't say it's good, but I also wouldn't say it's bad. It really only deviates from say a Canadian by the dry-ish aftertaste, which admittedly isn't even that strong compared to some others. It wouldn't hurt to try it just so you can be the cool guy sipping on an import at a party while everybody else is chugging Keystone Light or Budweiser.
