Day 7-11

Sooooo it's been over a week since I got here and the daily happenings are starting to wear down. It's turned into the relaxing vacation I was expecting. It's nice to be able to sit around and not worry about anything for a change.

I've been keeping on pace with getting beef noodles for lunch everyday and I've even managed to get out on some runs at a local university's track field. Speaking of which, my time spent here has me considering going to National Taiwan University (NTU, the best school in Taiwan which conveniently has an exchange program with UBC) for a semester. The lifestyle here is so different and I think it'd be very beneficial to my Mandarin. At the same time it would mean I'd be away from hockey for over 4 months. On that note, no more playoff hockey...sigh. I had been getting up early each game day to stroll over to Starbucks to stream the games online. My dumbass uncle decided it'd be smart to get piss poor internet at my grandparents' place. I was so confident the Canucks would advance I bought a one month pass there...FML.

The good news is that one of my buddies flew in the other day. It's gonna be nice to interact with someone my own age on a regular basis. I'm still considering whether or not I should go down south to the white sand beaches or if they're just a waste of my time, or so I've heard.

Until then, I'll be busy consuming far excessive amounts of beef noodles, bubble tea and cheap bzzr.

PS. I encountered a modern version of the infamous Space Shuttle, commonly (and mistakenly) referred to as the Toyota Previa. Check it!
